Mesdan FISHERMANS KNOTTERS combines simplicity of design with high performance, the overall knotting capacity of the basic types embracing the winders possible variety of natural and man-made fibers. Variations of the basic types are available for yarns with special characteristics.

Lightweight plastic covers are fitted to all types, giving full protection against accidental damage.

All knotters are available in either hand or belt fitting.

Mesdan UNIRAPID WEAVERS KNOTTER with its enlarged knotting capacity embraces almost all textile fibers including cotton, wool, linen, hemp, and synthetic. The Mesdan Weavers Knotter is precision built with a robust yet simple mechanism incorporating the exclusive UNIRAPID action whereby the yarn is simultaneously knotted and ejected.

To produce loops of pre-determined sizes

A conventional knotting mechanism able to produce loops on a wide range of yarns and cords, minimum loop diameter being 6 cm.

Loops manufactured with the Loop knotter can be used in the production of disposable hospital masks, hair nets, in the clothing industry, food preparation, wine and other industries.

The unit can be either manually operated (093) or mounted as an integral part of automatic or pneumatically operated machines (094).

For the knotting of silk and delicate yarns

A conventional knotter for the joining of natural silk and synthetic yarns from 30 to 150 Dtex.

A tail length of approximately 3 mm minimises loom stoppage by knot hazard.

Designed to be fitted in a stationary position on conventional winders, it is fitted with delicate yarn clamps to avoid filament distortion.

Special knotter designed for disposable hygiene industry

Based on the well-known Loop Knotter type 093, Mesdan developed a new model type 093E, specifically designed for joining spandex for the disposable hygiene industry.
The 093E is a hand-operated knotter distinguished by its reliability, knotting consistency, and easy operation. Its main application is the tail-to-top transfer on the creels used in the production of diapers.

It can be easily moved from one position to another, directly clamped to the creel structure or fixed on pre-set brackets.

​A highly versatile automatic Fishermans knotter incorporating a graduated tensioning system with interchangeable tying heads. These special features enable a wide variety of yarns from Nm 5 to Nm 160 to be knotted with the same basic unit, each knot being positively controlled to ensure maximum security.
